The purpose of the workshop with Moises Saman (Magnum Photos) is to collaborate with students that are in the process of developing a personal visual style that is honest and relevant to a story-telling approach to photography.
Students are encounraged to bring work-in-progress projects, story ideas, or completed essays, to be shared and discussed on one-on-one sessions as well as in the context of the group. It is important that students bring LARGE edits (the larger the better) so we have enough material to work with, and for me to understand your initial approach.
Through this dialogue we will find new ways to expand the visual nuances of the project, explore the relationships between photographer and subject, and identify cretative approaches toward a successfull conclusion of the story.
During the workshop there will be an half-day meeting where the photographer will be joined by Daria Bonera to discuss a topic that we think may be of interest to all: using skills of documentary photography in the advertising field.
