What is creativity for Franco Fontana<\/a>?<\/p>\n

My first impression is that it’s a sign of intelligence, a clear and distinct personality trait made of invention, emotions, imagination, versatility, agility and adventurous thoughts \u2013 all of which breaks the rules, opens the way to new experiences and seeks new answers by reinterpreting the world around us. A world witnessed by people, landscapes, horizons, skies, colors and many other multicoloured situations. A world that is interpreted in shocking and different way from the repetitive everyday known to us. We take responsibility for the results because creative photography isn\u2019t about reproduce what is visible but about making something visible.<\/p>\n

And why the colour? One needs to understand that creativity, despite being supported by\u00a0colours, is not the synonym of arbitrary\u00a0creation but a motion that generates life and not\u00a0suffering, with a positive value for each of us.<\/p>\n

Colour is also a physical sensation, a\u00a0psychological and emotional interpretation,\u00a0a way and a means to acquire knowledge.\u00a0This is why it is so fundamental, especially in\u00a0photography and, quoting Klee, \u201ccolour is the\u00a0place where the universe and the mind meet\u201d.<\/p>\n

This workshop, confirming this statement, will\u00a0allow you to acquire a deeper knowledge of your\u00a0own sensitivity, and give you a photographic\u00a0independence as a result. An independence\u00a0which each one of us will define oneself in an\u00a0autonomous creativity with personal contents.<\/p>\n

As John Ruskin said: \u201cThe purest and most\u00a0thoughtful minds are those which love colour\u00a0the most.<\/p>\n

As for myself, I try to express and interpret\u00a0colour through photography by turning it into a\u00a0personal testimony of this \u201ccolor\u201d, from object\u00a0to subject. This helps me liberate my soul from\u00a0negative influences to receive and give joy to the\u00a0light in your eyes, bringing poetry to the heart,\u00a0in a positive way.<\/p>\n

If it is true that one only lives to discover beauty,\u00a0and that it is this beauty that will save the world,\u00a0colour is an important bailee of this colourful\u00a0energy. To interpret it in a creative way is living\u00a0its importance and its content fully.<\/p>\n

One needs to understand that creativity, despite\u00a0being supported by colours, is not the synonym\u00a0of arbitrary creation but a motion that generates\u00a0life and not suffering, with a positive value for\u00a0each of us.<\/p>\n

The photographer who wants to interpret and\u00a0not illustrate a landscape (a city, a person)\u00a0in a postcard by creating a suitable \u201cmagic\u201d atmosphere usually relies on colour to not\u00a0sublimate the object of the photograph but\u00a0mostly transform the same in a subject which\u00a0will have a life of hits own, triggering emotions\u00a0and feelings.<\/p>\n

Colour is also a physical sensation, a\u00a0psychological and emotional interpretation,\u00a0a way and a means to acquire knowledge.\u00a0This is why it is so fundamental, especially in\u00a0photography.<\/p>\n

Colour is like a huge mountain entirely covered\u00a0with dreams because where that is where colour\u00a0and mind meet the universe.<\/p>\n
