{"id":4189,"date":"2014-07-11T09:43:03","date_gmt":"2014-07-11T07:43:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newurl.com\/?page_id=4189"},"modified":"2021-05-05T15:38:58","modified_gmt":"2021-05-05T13:38:58","slug":"festival","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.luganophotodays.ch\/en\/festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LuganoPhotoDays<\/strong> was born in early 2012 from an idea of <strong>Marco Cortesi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After visiting several European festivals, and having established a network of contacts in the world of photography \u2013 as a photographer but mostly as a passionate \u2013, Marco Cortesi felt the need to created a venue in his hometown to further spread this mean of communication and expression.<\/p>\n<p>The festival materializes in just a few months also thanks to the support of Fabrizio Biaggi.<\/p>\n<p>LuganoPhotoDays\u2019 objective is to organize a yearly <strong>international photography festival<\/strong> in Lugano that will insert itself among the ones that already exist in other European cities.<\/p>\n<p>LuganoPhotoDays is a 360 degrees festival, which offers <strong>exhibitions<\/strong>, <strong>conferences<\/strong>, <strong>workshops<\/strong> and everything that is available in large festivals.<\/p>\n<p>In order to position LuganoPhotoDays at the highest level since its first edition, it has been decided to invite worldwide famous photographers such as <a title=\"Alex Majoli\" href=\"\/en\/guests\/alex-majoli\/\">Alex Majoli<\/a> (photographer and president for Magnum Photos) and <a title=\"Nikos Economopoulos\" href=\"\/en\/guests\/nikos-economopoulos\/\">Nikos Economopoulos<\/a> (Magnum Photos).<\/p>\n<p>As of its second edition already the festival has shown that the event is growing exponentially offering a larger program and expanding its <a title=\"About us\" href=\"\/en\/information\/about-us\/\">team<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>LuganoPhotoDays is organized by the <strong>non-profit association<\/strong> of the same name based in Lugano (Switzerland).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LuganoPhotoDays was born in early 2012 from an idea of Marco Cortesi.
