Portfolio review (20 minutes) with Daria Bonera, photo editor for Touring Magazine, monthly magazine of travel in Italy.

Biography

Born in Milan, after graduating in Fashion Marketing from St Martins School in London, I started working for Contrasto Photo Agency in Milano.

In 2004 I moved to Grazia Neri’s Photo Agency, where I represented several international agencies and photographers and I selected new talents for the Agency.

In 2008 I went to New York to work as the agent of documentary photographer Donna Ferrato and representing Grazia Neri’s photographers all through the US, while collaborating with the major publications.

In 2009, I came back to Milano and I started my own Agency: DB where I represent a few selected documentary and fashion photographers, award-winning illustrators, video makers and film directors for advertising, fashion and editorial projects.

I am a member part of the Jury for the Px3, IPA, Travel Photographer of the Year, Czech Press Photo Contest, Croatia Press Photo, Moscow International Foto Awards, Siena International Photo Awards, and a nominator for the Prix Pictet, British Journal of Photography Ones To Watch, Prince Claus Awards e First Book Award.

I have taught at the workshop: “the Flying Course” with Stanley Greene in Paris and at “Love Venetian Style: an Intimate View” with Donna Ferrato in Venice.

Beside my own business, I teach visual communication at John Kaverdash School of Photography in Milano, I am a mentor for Eyes in Progress and I am the photo editor consultant for “Touring Magazine” the most diffuse monthly magazine of travel in Italy.

This portfolio review will help you to:

• evaluate your photographic style and story ideas
• shoot with a more considered approach
• edit your own work more efficiently
• identify your photographic strengths
• direct your creative thinking

Please note:

• every portfolio (from 40 to 60 photos for long-term project or from 20 to 30 photos for short stories) will be seen by Daria Bonera
• photos can be digital or printed
• you will have up to 20 minutes (no exceptions)
• there is no refund in case of cancellation by the participant
• participation orders is based on application (first come first served basis)
• who arrives late lose priority and have to wait
• if it’s possible please bring digital images on a USB flash drive too

• Discount: 10% for Annual pass owners
• No minimum number of participants is required, portfolio reviews are confirmed anyway. There is no refund in case of cancellation by the participant.
