Born 1964 in Thun (BE), Switzerland. Schools in Gunten and Sigriswil. Apprenticeship as a typesetter in Thun, Arts and Crafts School in Berne.
Since 1984 at the “Neue Zürcher Zeitung” as a typograph.
Three years later change to the editorial board of “Zeitbilder”, the weekly supplement of the NZZ. There over 20 years responsible for the written-photo-feature.
Since 2009 picture editor for the daily edition of the NZZ.
Christian Güntlisberger lives in Zurich. Hobbies are reading and opera.
