reneburri-portraitFinally we can reveal who will be the special guest of this great second edition of LuganoPhotoDays:

René Burri (Magnum Photos)

We do not think that René Burri need to be introduced, but for those who should not remember, he is a Swiss photographer who turned 80 in April and is a member of Magnum Photos since 1955. Many of his photographs have become icons of our time, to name a few: Ernesto “Che” Guevara smoking a cigar in his office, Pablo Picasso in Cannes, Le Corbusier, the “men on the roof” of São Paulo, …

René Burri brings to Lugano, from October 12 to October 19, the Impossible Reminiscences exhibibition, a series of images in color, virtually unknown to the public until this year, and exhibited in the sense of the chromatic scale, situations and portraits taken at the same time as those black and white provide a unique insight into the creativity of the spirit of this great Master of Photography from 1950 to today.
